In the Autumn of 2015 people walking on the Brisley Amenity discussed on occasion that "nothing much ever happened in Brisley" various ideas were mooted and eventually the idea of a Brisley Social was born. The aim is for everyone to come along on the 2nd Wednesday of each month to spend time chatting, drinking freshly brewed coffee or tea and enjoy some delicious home baked cakes and treats.
Brisley Social is non-profit making, donations are made by people attending and after covering costs surplus money is redistributed into the Community or used to purchase small items of equipment for the Village Hall. We have gifted sums of money to St Bart's Church, Brisley Cricket Club, Brisley CEVA Primary School and also to Breast Cancer Care for which a Strawberry Tea was held in June. The people of Brisley raised £543 to aid this charity. We made a £25 donation to the Royal British Legion (Fakenham) Poppy Appeal and currently we are in the process of buying decorations to dress a Christmas Tree donated by a villager.
